About Vera Bukachi

Vera Bukachi is Senior Research Coordinator and leading project manager in the field of flood resilience at the Kounkuey Design Initiative (KDI), a non-profit design and community development organisation. She predominately works with communities living in Nairobi’s largest slum Kibera, who are affected by flooding events. Prior to joining KDI, Vera Bukachi worked as a consultant at ARUP, where she provided technical expertise in the field of water and sanitation. She has a background in environmental engineering.
