About Meelan Thondoo

Meelan holds an Msc. in Medical Anthropology and an Msc. in Public Health. She applies evidence-based research for increasing health in vulnerable populations as well as informing health policies. She has completed fieldwork and participated in research projects in Latin America, South-East Asia & Pacific and East Africa. She is currently a Transglobal Health fellow of the EMJD Doctoral program funded by the European Commission. Her thesis focuses on Health Impact Assessments in developing countries with a focus on urban policies in Africa. The outcome of her work serves social integration and justice, positive health impacts and grassroots participatory approaches in SIDs and developing countries.
