About Kostas Nikolaou

Kostas Nikolaou is visiting Professor of Ecology and Social Solidarity Economy at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh, Greece). He is a graduate of Chemistry (AUTh), holder of DEA and a Doctorate in Environmental Pollution (Université Paris Diderot). He is a former Adjunct Professor of Environmental Planning (Hellenic Open University). He taught at universities in USA, France, and Greece. He is the author of 430 papers in scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings. He is co-founder and president of the People’s University of Social Solidarity Economy “UnivSSE Coop”, co-founder and board member of the social consumer cooperative "Bios Coop", cooperative for social management of waste "Anabiosis", energy community and movement K136 for cooperative water management in Thessaloniki.
