About Hedwig K. Ngwa Akum

Hedwig K. Ngwa Akum holds a PhD in Gender and Development Studies and a Master's degree in Geography. She is a geography teacher at Government High School, Great Soppo Buea. Hedwig also doubles as part time lecturer in the Department of Women and Gender Studies at the university of Buea. She is an advocate for gender, environment, and development issues. Hedwig is author of “A Gender Perspective of municipal solid waste generation and management in the city of Bamenda, Cameroon" (2019).
