About Barry Beagen

Barry is an architect and urban designer focusing on sustainable and climate resilient infrastructure and urban development. He is currently the program director of Kota Kita Foundation where he develops methodologies for collaborative planning processes with citizens and governments. Prior to Kota Kita, Barry worked as a designer at Diller Scofidio + Renfro (NYC) on a range of cultural buildings and urban public projects internationally and has previously taught at the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. He was a Tata Center for Technology and Design fellow and an affiliate at the MIT Urban Risk Lab.
