About Astrid Díaz

Astrid Díaz is a renowned architect in Puerto Rico and public figure in television, newspapers and social media influencer. She is President of ADV Architect and advises the FEMA Mitigation Assessment Team Washington, DC for the rebuilding assessment of Puerto Rico. For 20 years, she has been leading architectural projects, public campaigns for "Hurricanes and Safe Houses" and TV programs about architecture, for which was nominated for two EMMY Awards. Díaz designed the “Casa Segura de Puerto Rico” and the “Prescriptives Residential Designs” in response to the strong necessity of code compliance houses for Puerto Ricans. She was a former Sub-Director for Puerto Rico's Public Building Authority. She has a Master Degree in Architecture and a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Design of the UPR where she has been professor. Astrid Díaz received the “National Architecture Award of Puerto Rico”.
