About Dr Md Zakir Hossain

Md. Zakir Hossain is Professor of Urban & Rural Planning Discipline, Khulna University Bangladesh. He holds an MSc from the University of Antwerp and D.Phil from the Heriot Watt University. Before coming to academia, Zakir worked as a development practitioner concerned with urban health and governance in Bangladesh. Besides teaching, he is also implementing research projects which particularly address climate change, poverty, and governance. His work has appeared in several peer-reviewed journals.
