About Tobias Kettner
Tobias Kettner is an Outreach and Ombuds Officer of the United Nations World Food Programme in Rome, Italy. He previously worked with GIZ on the linkages between climate policies and urban development. In the run up to Habitat III, the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, he served as the Habitat III focal point for Europe. The conference took place in October 2016 and resulted in the New Urban Agenda, a United Nations agreement that guides worldwide efforts around urbanization of a wide range of actors for the next 20 years. Before this, Mr. Kettner worked at UN-Habitat’s Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, where he coordinated the online communications of the United Nations cities programme. Tobias Kettner has a background in urbanism, international relations and communications, he studied Political Science, Economy and Geography in Bonn and Stockholm.
