About Santiago Fernández Reyes

Santiago leads ITDP Mexico’s research and urban development initiatives since 2022. He holds a masters degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). His areas of interest involve urban mobility systems and coordinated land use and transportation planning. Prior to joining ITDP, Santiago worked as a consultant for the Samuel Tak Lee Center for Real Estate at MIT. He has collaborated with institutions related to transportation infrastructure worldwide, for example, in places like Chile and India.
