About Safa H. Ashoub

Safa Ashoub is a political scientist and urbanist, specialised in sustainable development. She has worked for more than 14 years in leading positions at several international organisations such as GIZ, UN-Habitat and UN Women. She has in-depth expertise in the fields of urban development, institutional and capacity development, climate change, and community development, among others. She holds two master’s degrees, a Double MSc in International Cooperation in Urban Development (TU Darmstadt, University of Rome Tor Vergata) and an MSc in Political Science from the University of Edinburgh in addition to her BSc in Political Science from Cairo University.
