About Firdaus Ara Hussain

Dr. Firdaus Ara Hussain is a development expert and specializes in climate change, climate finance, rural and regional development, among others. Her regional experience on adaptation practices spans over Bangladesh as well as Thailand. She is currently engaged as Principal Advisor of the Improved Coordination of International Climate Finance Project in GIZ Bangladesh. In this position, Dr. Firdaus advises the Economics Relations Division (ERD), Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh in the access and coordination of international climate finance. She continues to publish in international journals on climate finance, climate change, climate risk and adaptation assessment, etc.
