Cecilia Tortajada has over 25 years of experience on water, environment and natural resources management, agricultural development and capacity building. At present, she is working on impacts of global changes on water resources, environment, food, and societies. She has been an advisor to major international institutions and has worked in countries in Africa, Asia, North and South America and Europe on water and natural resources management and environment policies. She is a member of the OECD Initiative on Water Governance, past President of the International Water Resources Association (2007‐2009) and winner of the prestigious Crystal Drop Award of the Association. She is the Editor‐in‐Chief of the International Journal of Water Resources Development.
