About Casimiro António

Casimiro António is a disaster risk reduction and environment expert with nearly 12 years of risk reduction and adaptation experience, including 4 years of implementing a USAID-funded costal city adaptation project in Mozambique. His expertise includes institutional capacity building; adaptation and resilience knowledge product and tools management; trainings and project management. He has also worked as national coordination director with the Government Disaster Management Agency, and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management Officer with the United Nations Development Agency (UNDP) in Mozambique. Mr. António holds a Master’s degree in disaster risk reduction and management from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and Lund University (Sweden) and a post-graduate diploma in environmental impact assessment and management from the High Institute for Technology and Communication (ISUTC), Mozambique.
