About Etta Madete Mukuba

Etta Madete is a BORAQS (Board of Registration of Architects and Quality Surveyors) registered architect, EDGE Expert, and Aspen Senior Fellow, who is passionate about affordable sustainable housing. She is the Co-Founder and Director for Zima homes, the affordable housing lead at BuildX Studio and a lecturer (Teaching Fellow) at the University of Nairobi. Within all capacities, she practices, teaches, and does research on architecture for sustainable economic, social, and environmental development in Kenya and beyond.
