About Alejandra Acevedo-De-los-Ríos

Alejandra Acevedo-De-los-Ríos is an architect and researcher working at the intersection of urban metabolism, housing, and sustainability in informal settlements. She is a doctoral researcher at Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) and a Visiting Researcher at the Yale Center for Ecosystems + Architecture. She is also an external researcher at the University of Lima’s Scientific Research Institute, where she previously directed the UNESCO Chair research group “City, Landscape, and Heritage.” Her work combines research, teaching, and practice, contributing to international initiatives on urban resilience, circular resource systems, and sustainable housing, including collaborations with UNEP and UNCCD, and is supported by a growing body of peer-reviewed publications in leading journals on urban sustainability and informal settlements.
