About Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA)

CDIA is an international partnership initiative established by the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Germany in 2007. It receives additional core funding support from the governments of Austria, Sweden and Switzerland, as well as the Shanghai Municipal Government. Aside from working with at least 117 cities, from 2007 until 2016, CDIA has also completed 109 Pre-Feasibility Studies; and directly linked 52 projects to finance. In total, CDIA’s urban development measures have an estimated investment value of USD 6.0 billion.
